Tropical Rain forest Tropical rain forest is surrounded with very cold and foggy environment. It also contains tall trees, streams and river. It is a biome where [roper amount of sunlight and water is provided to plants due to which they are very healthy and tall. Many have twigs to reach the highest level of sunlight as smaller ones are left at the bottom which creates problem for them. Tropical rain forest consist of Colorful species that can crawl, fly, creep, climb and swim. A rain forest have total 4 layers the top most layer is called emergent the tallest trees in the rain forest grows as high as 200 feet above the forest floor. Most of these trees are broad-leaved, hardwood evergreens. To hold water, leaves often have thick, waxy layers. The second layer is the canopy which is the primary layer of the rain forest, the canopy, extends beneath the emergent, rising to 150 feet. Most canopy trees have smooth, oval leaves that come to a point. A possible explanation for this adaptation is that they shed rain quickly. T he canopy also stops the rain from reaching the plants below. The under story layer consist of trees that grows up to 12 feet in length. Many plants in the understory rely on insects for their food. Others have fruit on their trunks. Many animals live in the understory, such as snakes and frogs. This layer also has the largest amount of insects. The lowest layer is forest floor the air near the forest floor is hot and humid. Only two percent of the light that reaches the canopy can get through to the forest floor, so the forest floor is dim. This dim light slows the growth of many light demanding plants. In some of the deepest jungles the ground is a maze of scattered fallen leaves, roots, branches and twigs. Tropical rain forest have an average temperature of 20 degree Celsius. Rain forest are located mostly in the area between the Tropic of cancer and The tropic of Capricorn. The animals and plants are highly adapted to this biome in many different ways for example animals are adapted to find food, mates, shelter and protection another adaptation of an animal is the monkeys tail to grab food from branches. Plants are also adapted as some of them have thick waxy coats which protects against rain and insects. More than 78 acres of rain forest are destroyed to have land for farming, for construction of buildings and roads and also for obtaining large amount of wood.
RAIN FOREST Tropical rain forest contains 50% of animals species and it covers 2% of the earth and has colorful species which swim, fly and walk.First layer is emergent it is the tallest of all layers and trees grow up to 80 meters.Second is canopy which is the thickest layer and it consist of bushes branches and trees which blocks the sunlight to go on the forest floor. It develops the rain forest.Canopy is the home of most of the animals and many insects have adapted to live their because it blocks sunlight which goes to forest floor. The trees in the canopy are up to 12 meters high. The last is the shrub layer where many plants have adapted to live there like ferns they have big leaves to trap as much light as possible and the average temperature in rain forest is 22 Celsius degree. It rains only 250 mm of rain after one year but the trees are able to survive because they are tall and strong enough and they have many adaptations. But whatever now is happening to rain forest is because of us because we are cutting them down and polluting the environment. If we cut down more and more trees the rain forest will finish.

The plants in this area seldom grow to 3 m (10 feet). Many animals live here including jaguars, red-eyed tree frogs and leopards. There is a large concentration of insects here. And last comes The shrub layer and forest floor are very dark. Few plants grow in this area, as a result. Since hardly any sun reaches the forest floor things begin to decay quickly. A leaf that might take one year to decompose in a regular climate will disappear in 6 weeks. Giant Anteaters live in this layer!! It has been estimated that many millions of species of plants, insects, and microorganisms are still undiscovered. Tropical rainforests have been called the "jewels of the Earth", and the "world's largest pharmacy", because over one quarter of natural medicines have been discovered there but we humans are clearing the rainforest for our uses and supplies so we see they are so useful and should be enshrined for always!!!
In this documentary they are trying to make us understand about the 8 Biomes of the world.Biomes have itsTropical rainforests mainly occur inside the World's equatorial regions. Tropical rainforests are restricted to the small land area between the latitudes 22.5° North and 22.5° South of the equator - between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer All Tropical rainforests have similar characteristics including climate, precipitation, canopy structure, complex symbiotic relationships and an amazing diversity of species. However, not every tropical rainforest can claim exact characteristics when compared by region or by realm and there are rarely clear defining boundaries. Many may blend with adjoining mangrove forests, moist forests, mountain forests, or tropical deciduous forests. Rain forests are "cradles of diversity". They spawn and support 50 percent of all living organisms on Earth even though they cover less than 5% of Earth's surface. A rainforest's importance is truly incomprehensible when it comes to species diversity. The largest unbroken stretch of rainforest is found in the Amazon river basin of South America. Over half of this forest lies in Brazil, which holds about one-third of the world's remaining tropical rainforests. Another 20% of the world's remaining rainforest exists in Indonesia and Congo Basin, while the balance of the world's rainforests are scattered around the globe in tropical regions. The global distribution of the tropical rainforest can be broken into four continental regions, realms or biomes: the Ethiopian or Afrotropical rainforest, the Australiasian or Australian rainforest, the Oriental or Indomalayan/Asian rainforest, and the Central and South American Neotropical own type of plants or vegetation.
RainForests We are losing Earth's greatest biological treasures just as we are beginning to appreciate their true value. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6%nearly half of the world's species of plants, animals and microorganisms are surely living there. The Amazon Rainforest covers over a billion acres, encompassing areas in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and the Eastern Andean region of Ecuador and Peru. If Amazonia were a country, it would be the ninth largest in the world. Rainforests have developed over millions of years to turn into the fabulous involvement in environment. Rainforest are represented as a store of living species by the rainforest good will and richness in the animals and plants both have given good resources to humankind. However, the inner dynamics of a tropical rainforest is an intricate and fragile system. Everything is so interdependent that upsetting one part can lead to unknown damage or even destruction of the whole. Sadly, it has taken only a century of human intervention to destroy what nature designed to last forever. Rainforests are full of different species; there are four layers of a rainforest first is EMERGENT LAYER Most of these trees are broad-leaved, hardwood evergreens. Sunlight is plentiful up here. Animals found are eagles, monkeys, bats and butterflies, second is CANOPY LAYER most canopy trees have smooth, oval leaves that come to a point. Many animals live in canopy those animals include: snakes, toucans and tree frogs. Next is the UNDERSTORY LAYER Little sunshine reaches this area so the plants have to grow larger leaves to reach the sunlight. Many animals live here including jaguars, red-eyed tree frogs and leopards. There is a large concentration of insects here. Last but not the least is FOREST FLOOR it’s very dark down here. Almost no plants grow in this area, as a result. Since hardly any sun reaches the forest floor things begin to decay quickly. Giant anteaters live in this layer. Many animals have adapted to the rainforest biome like monkeys hung upon the tree by their tail, plants are also adapted to this biome like lianas trees that they are thick vines that loop around tree trunks to make their way up to the canopy and the sunlight. Not only we explore we could also enjoy and take adventures from rainforest like swimming and more.
n this video they telling that there are 8 world biggest biomes in the world and all are in the Africa and the world biggest biome is also in the Africa and every biome has the four level First emergent second canopy third under canopy and fourth the shrub layer the emergent have only those trees which grow 80 meters long the canopy is the so most of the animals and the insects have adapted there because this layer helps to protect from the sunlight the under canopy has those trees which are 12 meters long the last layer shrub it has the species like the ferns.Tropical rainforests have been called the "jewels of the Earth", and the "world's largest pharmacy", because over one quarter of natural medicines have been discovered there but we humans are clearing the rainforest for our uses and supplies so we see they are so useful and should be enshrined for always. We are destroying rainforest by cutting trees and the trees give us good oxygen. If we continueosly cut the trees it will gives us loss.
In an average year the climate in a tropical rain forest is very humid because of all the rainfall. It gets lots of rain because it is very hot and wet in rain forests. The hotter the air, the more water vapor it can hold. It rains usually about 1/8 of an inch per day.
This climate is found near the equator. That means that there is more direct sunlight hitting the land and sea there than anywhere else. The sun warms the land and sea and the water evaporates into the air.
The main plants in this biome are trees. This is important because in the rain forest, some rain never gets past the trees and to the smaller plants and ground below. Trees in this climate reach a height of more than 164 feet. They form a canopy. There are 4 layers of a rain forest:
1-Emergent:- The top most layer of the rainfall, the emergent have only those trees which grow 80 meters long.
2-Canopy:- The canopy is the trees of the animals and the insects as they have perfectly adapted themselves, because this layer helps to protect from the sunlight.
3-Under Canopy:- The under canopy has those trees which are 12 meters long.
4-understory/Shrub layer:- The last layer shrub it has the species like the ferns they can grow without the sunlight in the shade the every rain forest have the average temperature of 22 Degree Celsius and very humid due to the 250 cm of rainfall which the rain forest receive in after one year sin the rain forest if the tree is long so it can live for millions of years and if it is small so minimum it die after one and a half year the long tree has the root which is the buttress roots which help the tree to trap the sunlight and grow more longer. The rainforest cover the 6% of the earth’s surface and but they are the home to over its half species. The plants that make up the understory of a rain forest have adapted to the small amount of sunlight that they receive. Ferns and mosses do well, along with epiphany. These are plants that grow on other plants. They can be found growing on branches of tall trees. There are many different plant species found in the rain forest. We should not cut the trees as they gives out many things for us which are essential for all of us to live.
Rainforests play a very important role in our lives. They are found in AFRICA,ASIA,AUSTRALIA,CENTRAL and SOUTH AMERICA.AMAZON is the largest rainforest in the world.Rainforests are found in the tropics, region between tropic of CAPRICON and tropic oF CANCER.Rainforest have 50% of wolds animals and 2% of earth's surface.there are total 4 layers of rainforest,EMERGENT layer which is at the top most layer and has 80 metre tall trees. Then canopy which have strong branches and it helps in blocking sunlight reaching at bottom. Then under story layer which has 12 metre tall trees, then the forest floorwhre there are small plants which can survive without sunlight.A rain forest average temperature is 20 degree's and there is 250mm of rainfall.Animals living there have adapted to the climate for food, shelter, protection.Plants have adapted rainfall as they have oily, slippery, bended leaves to make rain drops fall. All over rainforest species that can crawl fly, swim, swing are found.More than 78 acres of rainforest is destroyed every year for farming, for wood for timber and fire, construction of new buildings and roads.Rainforests are the bounty of nature and we should take care of it.
Tropical Rain Forest Tropical rainforests are one of nature's treasure. They are found in Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico and on many of the Pacific Islands. The rainforest is divided into five different layers, each with different plants and animals, adapted for life in the particular area. These are: the ground layer, the shrub layer, the understory layer, the canopy layer and the emergent layer. Only the emergent layer is unique to tropical rainforests, while the others are also found in temperate rainforest's. The emergent layer contains a small number of very large trees which grow above the canopy layer, reaching heights of 45-55 m, although on occasion a few species will grow up to 70 m or 80 m tall. The canopy is the primary layer of the forest and forms a roof over the two remaining layers. Most canopy trees have smooth, oval leaves that come to a point. understorey layer the plants have to grow larger leaves to obtain sufficient sunlight. The plants in this area seldom grow to 3 m (10 feet). The shrub layer and forest floor are very dark. Few plants grow in this area, as a result. The largest rain forest is the Amazon rain forest.Rain forests are located in the tropics, the region between the Tropic of Capricorn and Tropic of Cancer. Coffee, chocolate, banana, mango, papaya, macadamia, avocado, and sugarcane all originally came from tropical rainforest and are still mostly grown on plantations in regions that were formerly primary forest. Tropical rainforest climate is a type of tropical climate in which there is no dry season,Tropical rainforest climates have no pronounced summer or winter; it is typically hot and wet throughout the year and rainfall is both heavy and frequent. The temperature is around 35 degrees.Animals, plant and other living things are adapted to its environment. Nowadays tropical rainforest's are at risk.people are cutting down trees and doing deforestation.we should stop it as we are unable to survive without the facilities rain forest provides us.
RainForests…!! Tropical rainforest biome is the most complex and species-rich biome on the Earth. 80% of all world's biodiversity are found here. Rainforests are also known for very tall trees and competition of sunlight. Rainforest plants thrive extremely well in their environment, because every plant loves a lot of water, and rainforests are indeed very wet places. This means rainforests are thick and dense, full of plant life, and packed with different plants - it gets so crowded that the biggest competition is this of sunlight. Every plant tries therefore to reach high up to not to miss out on sunlight. Large trees grow tall and spread out their canopies and block the light from reaching the ground. Some extra tall trees, called emergents, grow through that canopy, even higher. Others, like vines climb on tree trunks to reach the sunlight high up. Orchids and epiphytes start growing high up in the trees when a bird drops a seed there. shorter trees and other plants grow on the rainforest floor, where some light happens to reach the forest ground. When a high tree falls and opens up the canopy, smaller plants get a chance to start growing in the sunlight on the rainforest floor .Like rainforest plants, the animals of the rainforest have also adapted to a life in a moist place crowded with species. And like the plants, the enjoy the warm and moist conditions in rainforests. The most abundant animals, like in many other ecosystems, are insects. In rainforests, some insects grow extremely large, like New Zealand's wet a, which can be 8cm long and weigh 70gr.Frogs and reptiles are also very abundant in rainforests. Many frogs are tree frogs, and many snakes are tree snakes. Most lizards can also climb trees. Waterholes are often inhabited by turtles and rivers by large killer crocodiles. Mammals come in all shapes and sizes. Like with other animals, their species vary between the rainforests of different continents. While crocodiles are the typical top predators in rainforest rivers, the typical terrestrial top predators are the "big cats”. The "king" of them - the lion - is found in Africa (Lion is not really rainforest animal but it's hard to ignore it amongst the Big Cats). Other cat animals with similar distributions are leopards , cheetahs , servals and caracals .when thinking of climate of rainforests, most people picture the hot and steamy tropical rainforests and assume that the climate where rainforests grow is hot . The reason for such amazing number of species is the ideal climatic conditions for plant growth: the warmth, and, more than anything – the moisture. it rains a lot in tropical rainforest biome - up to 2000mm a year. The high rainfall often results in poor soils, because of leaching of soluble nutrients. This is compensated by extra high productivity - things decompose about 10 times quicker in tropical rainforests than in other biomes.Tropical rainforests are also known for their layers (temperate rainforests also have layers even though they can be less obvious). The canopy layer typically blocks the sunlight, creating the dark forest floor where the vegetation is scarce enough that we can walk on the forest floor. If a tree falls and opens the canopy, a myriad of small plant species start growing on the forest floor. If large parts of the canopy are opened after say, a hurricane, the vegetation on the forest floor becomes so dense that we would not be able to walk there - it becomes a real jungle.

ReplyDeleteIn this documentary they are trying to make us understand about the 8 Biomes of the world.Biomes have itsTropical rainforests mainly occur inside the World's equatorial regions. Tropical rainforests are restricted to the small land area between the latitudes 22.5° North and 22.5° South of the equator - between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer
ReplyDeleteAll Tropical rainforests have similar characteristics including climate, precipitation, canopy structure, complex symbiotic relationships and an amazing diversity of species.
The global distribution of the tropical rainforest can be broken into four continental regions, realms or biomes: the Ethiopian or Afrotropical rainforest, the Australiasian or Australian rainforest, the Oriental or Indomalayan/Asian rainforest, and the Central and South American Neotropical
own type of plants or vegetation.

ReplyDeleten this video they telling that there are 8 world biggest biomes in the world and all are in the Africa and the world biggest biome is also in the Africa and every biome has the four level First emergent second canopy third under canopy and fourth the shrub layer the emergent have only those trees which grow 80 meters long the canopy is the so most of the animals and the insects have adapted there because this layer helps to protect from the sunlight the under canopy has those trees which are 12 meters long the last layer shrub it has the species like the ferns.Tropical rainforests have been called the "jewels of the Earth", and the "world's largest pharmacy", because over one quarter of natural medicines have been discovered there but we humans are clearing the rainforest for our uses and supplies so we see they are so useful and should be enshrined for always. We are destroying rainforest by cutting trees and the trees give us good oxygen. If we continueosly cut the trees it will gives us loss.
ReplyDeleteIn an average year the climate in a tropical rain forest is very humid because of all
ReplyDeletethe rainfall. It gets lots of rain because it is very hot and wet in rain forests. The
hotter the air, the more water vapor it can hold. It rains usually about 1/8 of an
inch per day.
This climate is found near the equator. That means that there is more direct
sunlight hitting the land and sea there than anywhere else. The sun warms the land
and sea and the water evaporates into the air.
The main plants in this biome are trees. This is important because in the rain
forest, some rain never gets past the trees and to the smaller plants and ground
below. Trees in this climate reach a height of more than 164 feet. They form a
canopy. There are 4 layers of a rain forest:
1-Emergent:- The top most layer of the rainfall, the emergent have only those trees
which grow 80 meters long.
RAINFOREST
ReplyDeleteRainforests play a very important role in our lives.
Tropical Rain Forest
ReplyDeleteTropical rainforests are one of nature's treasure.
ReplyDeleteTropical rainforest biome is the most complex and species-rich biome on the Earth.

ReplyDeleteRAIN FOREST
ReplyDeleteTropical rain forest contains 50% of animals species and it covers 2% of the earth and has colorful species which swim, fly and walk.First layer is emergent it is the tallest of all layers and trees grow up to 80 meters.Second is canopy which is the thickest layer and it consist of bushes branches and trees which blocks the sunlight to go on the forest floor.
